Yes. There is no charge for the site visit or the written estimate, and no obligation to go ahead.
Driveways, patios and walkways, outdoor kitchens, fire pits and seating walls, retaining walls and steps, repairs and repointing, excavation and drainage, and commercial hardscaping.
Size, materials, site access, excavation and base work, drainage needs and any walls, steps or features. Your written estimate breaks these down.
Most work is done from spring through late fall when the ground is not frozen. Booking early gives you the best choice of start dates.
Some projects, such as work at the street, taller retaining walls or work near wetlands, may need town approval. We tell you what applies during the estimate.
Have a rough idea of what you want, note the problems you can see, and tell us about anything that affects the work, such as sprinkler lines, lighting cables, invisible pet fences or HOA rules. We use the visit to measure, look at drainage and access, and talk through options.
Underground utilities are marked out before we dig. Please tell us where irrigation lines, lighting cables or other private lines run, since those are not always marked, so we can plan around them.
We plan access routes and storage areas with you, protect plantings where we can and keep the site tidy throughout the job. Heavy work such as excavation will disturb the immediate work area, and we explain what to expect during the estimate.
Yes. Along with full driveways and patios, we handle smaller jobs such as step rebuilds, apron replacements and paver repairs.
Keep drains and downspouts clear so water moves away from hard surfaces, fill small cracks and reset loose pavers or mortar before freezing weather, and use gentler de-icing products than rock salt where we recommend them. Early attention is the cheapest way to stop freeze-thaw damage. See our repair services.
