StoneForge Paving & Masonry designs, builds and repairs the hardscape around your home or business: driveways, patios, walkways, walls, steps and outdoor living spaces, along with the excavation and drainage work that keeps them sound. We are a licensed Connecticut Home Improvement Contractor (HIC-0707540), and every project starts with a proper base and drainage plan so it holds up to freeze-thaw winters.
Our services fit together. A new driveway often calls for a matching walkway, a patio shares its base and drainage with the yard around it, and a retaining wall can turn a sloped lot into usable outdoor space. Choose a service below to see the materials, process and common questions for that type of work, or tell us about the whole project and we will plan the stages in a sensible order.
A typical project runs in four steps. We visit the property, take measurements and talk through your goals. You receive a written estimate that explains the scope and materials. We mark out utilities, excavate and build the base, then install the finished surface. Before we leave we walk the completed work with you. The same approach applies whether the job is a single repair or a full backyard.

Asphalt, poured concrete, concrete pavers, porcelain, bluestone, natural stone and Belgian block, plus gravel and crushed stone. We also repair and repoint brick and stone masonry.
Yes. Most of our work is residential, and we also provide commercial hardscaping for businesses, condo associations and property managers.
The main factors are size, materials, site access, excavation and base preparation, drainage needs and any walls, steps or features. We explain each item in your written estimate.
Call us or send a message describing the problem or the idea. We will visit the property, look at the conditions and suggest which services make sense and in what order, so you do not need to know the technical names to get started.
Related work is usually best done together: a driveway with its apron and border, a patio with a fire pit or seating walls, or a retaining wall with drainage and steps. Combining them means the groundwork is done once and nothing new has to be dug up later.
Often, yes. If the damage is limited and the base is sound, a targeted repair can be the better value. See our repairs and restoration services, and we will tell you honestly when replacement makes more sense.
